All set for Miss Universe Jamaica East grand coronation
The grand coronation of Miss Universe Jamaica East is set for this Sunday, April 21, at Karl Hendrickson Auditorium on the grounds of Jamaica College on Hope Road in St Andrew.
Some 20 young ladies are competing for the title and an automatic placement in the national Miss Universe Jamaica pageant.
“Plans are coming along great. We have all the ducks in a row and we’re looking forward to a grand and beautiful show,” Jermane Blair, regional manager for Miss Universe Jamaica East, shared in an interview with the Jamaica Observer’s Splash.
“We have put a lot of effort and work into the preparation of the girls, and we are confident that they will shine on coronation night,” Blair added.
Since the contestants were selected and sashed early last month, they have been making several public appearances.
“We will be having a beautiful opening segment compliments of Paul Newman of Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. The swimsuit section will feature beautiful designs by Bulletz Fashion. There will also be guest performances and a surprise element,” Blair shared.
