US father charged with murder of ‘fat’ son after allegedly forcing boy to run treadmill
NEW JERSEY, United States – A New Jersey father has been accused of murdering his six-year-old son after reportedly forcing the young boy to run increasingly faster on a treadmill because he believed the child was “too fat.”
Christopher Gregor, 31, is to face the court for the murder of his son, Corey Micciolo.
According to international media reports, the deceased suffered several traumatic injuries after falling from the speeding treadmill several times during a workout back in April 2021.
Yahoo News reports that Gregor appeared to “bite” his son in the side of the boy’s head while forcing him to keep up the run. In video footage obtained by the US Courts, the child is witnessed falling from the machine, hitting his head and chest multiple times.
According to the official autopsy report, the young boy died from blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions, acute inflammation and sepsis.
According to the Yahoo News article, the child’s mother, Bre Micciolo, discovered her son’s injuries and pleaded with the father to take him to the hospital. It was further reported that while accompanied by a case worker during the doctor’s visit, the boy claimed his father forced him to run because he was “too fat.”
Gregor was subsequently arrested and charged with murder as well as child neglect. He is being held at a prison facility without bond.
