Mingles Bar and Lounge at The Courtleigh Hotel is accessible from its own entrance on Knutsford Boulevard or through a connected walkway from the Jamaica Pegasus hotel’s parking lot. The bar and lounge is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

The indoor boutique bar has an old world luxurious charm décor which transcends to the design cover of the menu and the wide, classic selection of house wines such as Hardy’s VR Merlot, sparkling wines such as Santa Margherita Prosecco, Champagne Rose such as GH Mumm Grand, white wine such as Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, red wine such as Meiomi Pinot Noir, cocktails such as Negroni (gin) and Paloma (grapefruit tequila-based cocktail). You may opt to purchase a glass or bottle from the bar menu, all prices are quoted in US dollars and attract a 15 per cent government tax and 10 per cent service charge.

The bar menu offers food choices as well; I opted for a cream of pumpkin soup for appetiser or starters. Sadly, I was very disappointed with the consistency of the soup which was extremely thick and unpalatable. Nonetheless, my guest and I ordered one cocktail and a mocktail and called it a night after settling a shocking and overpriced bill. There is great potential and I look forward to future improvements, which were promised after my feedback.
