The stage is set for the 2024 Jamaica St Leger, the third Classic race of the season. Twenty-five exceptional native-bred three-year-olds have been provisionally entered, including some of the sport’s brightest stars.

Headlining the field are
Run Julie Run, winner of the 1000 Guineas, and
California Crown, victor of the 2000 Guineas. Last year’s champion two-year-old,
Intrestntimesahead, is also in the running, along with other top contenders like
Comehometome and
Provident.

Run Julie Run is trained by Ian Parsard, while
California Crown,
Intrestntimesahead,
Comehometome, and
Provident, are trained by champion Jason DaCosta.

Trainer Anthony Nunes is poised to make a significant impact, with six entrants in the top 16, including top contenders Captain Sparrow, Allegiance, and Crown Chaser. His other runners in the top 16 are Battle Angel, King Piye, and Queen of Soul.

Additionally, Nunes has seven runners on the Also Eligible list, ensuring a strong presence. He has Playfair, Supremasi, Smart Trick, Prince Amaan, World Surprise, Undisclosdlocation, and Warsaw.

The Jamaica St Leger, a prestigious Grade One event, will be contested over 10 furlongs (2,000m) on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
