Since 2017 restaurant giant KFC Jamaica has partnered with Kevin Downswell Ministries on the quest to support, mentor, and uplift many of Jamaica’s vulnerable youth through the Realignment Concert Tour and Youth Outreach Programme.

After a four-year hiatus, primarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Realignment series has returned with Realignment Chapter 4, scheduled for Saturday, July 6 at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre and Sunday, July 7 at Mandeville Primary & Junior High School

During the Realignment Tour media launch, held on June 25, KFC recommitted their support by way of a sponsorship valued at $5 million. Proceeds from this year’s Realignment Chapter 4 will benefit The Salvation Army Hanbury Home for Children in Kendal, Manchester, and Windsor Lodge Children’s Home in Windsor Lodge, Manchester.

Speaking at the launch, marketing manager at Restaurants of Jamaica Andrei Roper said: “We are ecstatic to be back on board with Kevin Downswell Ministries, who are like extended family to us at KFC. We see great value in the work that they have done over the years for Jamaica’s children.”

For his part, Minister Kevin Downswell expressed his sincere appreciation for the continued partnership with KFC and stressed the importance of the mission of the Realignment Tour in assisting those children most in need. He stated: “It is a blessing to be able to have such an impact in the lives of these kids year after year. However, we know that it cannot be a one-off, it must be sustained, and that is why we keep coming back again and again because our children need us… The relationship began in 2017 and it has grown from strength to strength. I have to say major thanks to the Restaurants of Jamaica team for believing in our mission year after year.” Downswell shared.

Come July 6 and 7, gospel music fans can look forward to two spectacular shows featuring some of the biggest names in Jamaica, including Chevelle Franklyn, Positive, Johnmark Wiggan, Prince Saj, as well as Kevin Downswell himself, plus many more.
