Sound system selector shot dead at traffic light in St Andrew
A popular sound system selector was shot dead Sunday morning after leaving a nightclub in St Andrew.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Gavin Woolcock, otherwise called ‘Mafia’, who was associated with sound system Xfactor Sound.
Woolcock, who was of a St Andrew address, reportedly had completed his selecting duties at a popular uptown club and left the venue with his girlfriend in his car when gunmen attacked him while he was waiting at a traffic light on Constant Spring Road, in the vicinity of the entrance to the Manor Centre plaza.
He received gunshot wounds to his neck and upper body, and later succumbed to his injuries.
