ON August 31, 2024 every single race of 11 at Caymanas Park was won by a non-favourite, which is a pretty uncommon occurrence.
The closest to a winning favourite on the day was in the ninth when the Fitzroy Glispie-trained, Tevin Foster-ridden Money Miser won at odds of 3-2. Money Miser defeated Power From Above (5-2) and 3-5 odds on favourite Digital One.
The upset of the day came in the seventh event when the Philip Feanny-trained Riches To Rags, ridden by Richard Henry, ran on strongly at odds of 36-1 to beat Motivate Me Baby (6-1) and Commander Z (7-5).
Riches To Rags paid the handsome sum of $3,752 to win, while the exacta with Motivate Me Baby paid $10,706, and the double with sixth race winner Casual Treasure paid the goodly sum of $40,240.
