Junelle Bromfield and Noah Lyles get engaged
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American sprinter Noah Lyles has proposed to his Jamaican girlfriend Junelle Bromfield.
Lyles made the announcement via a video shared across his social media platforms. The video shared to his Instagram was captioned, “To my future wife, I will love you forever”.
Bromfield, a Jamaican quarter-miler, has faced heavy criticism since events leading up to the Paris Olympics 2024 Games following her boyfriend’s revelation that he had been privy to inside information regarding Jamaican athletes.
After Lyles’ comments, fans on social media accused Bromfield of secretly giving inside information to her boyfriend.
While his girlfriend came under pressure, Lyles, who won the 100m gold medal at the Paris Olympics by a dip, has been supportive of her throughout the process.
