SO2

First…

The buzz was palpable, Tuesday last, as Mystic Group CEO Karina Mahbubani welcomed scores of patrons to the establishment’s one-year anniversary shindig. Eschew all thoughts of pomp and ceremony! Specially invited guests stepped into a transformed space and immediately started vibing to the pulsating sounds courtesy of DJ Iset Sankofa, sipped the evening’s signature Mystic Thai Punch and noshed on passed hors d’oeuvres.

As the evening came to a close, Mahbubani, in a heartfelt address, acknowledged her business partner William Mahfood, her amazing team and the patrons who have all contributed to the restaurant’s success. She also spoke to future offerings.

“Initially we were just finding our footing, but now we have reached a stage where we are able to look at things like the conference room and private catering which have really changed the game for us,” she revealed.

While proud of the achievements of the last 12 months, Mahbubani is insistent that the best is yet to come, as the eatery seeks to maximise the potential of the location and focus on becoming Kingston’s premier dining establishment.

“I see a lot of growth. In fact, we haven’t even scratched the surface as yet… we are still trying to get awareness out there as we focus on building this amazing brand that’s really going to impact the dining scene in Kingston,” she said.

Later, as the music continued, amplifying the festive mood, there was much reluctance to leave.
