I get a pension from the Accountant General’s Department. Since July 2024, I have sent two life certificates by registered mail to the Accountant General’s Department but have not received any pension payments since September.

I sent in my life certificate for the period 1/7/25 – 30/9/24 via registered mail receipt # 5845(1//7/24).

My life certificate for the period 1/10/24 – 31/12/24 was sent via registered mail receipt #6166 dated 7/11/22.

Please find out for me when I will be paid.

Tell Claudienne has been in communication with the director, communications and customer service at the Accountant General.

The director said that your pension was suspended due to the non-submission of your life certificate. He said that the payments to you will resume in December 2024.

The column received the following email from the Accountant General’s Department on November 27, 2024.

“NE’s pension account was suspended as of August 31, 2024 due to the non-submission of a life certificate. We received and processed the life certificate for the period ending December 31, 2024 on November 25, 2024, which would have been after payday.

NE’s pension account has been reactivated and he will receive all missing payments plus his regular monthly pension payment in December on payday. Please remind NE that he needs to submit a life certificate every three (3) months in order to receive his pension payment.

The next life certificate is due by January 31, 2025 and those will be sent out via the post office within the next two weeks. If he wants to get an email copy of this life certificate he can send me an email and I will have same sent to him.”
