Flow empowers women to connect to their vision, build their future at Observer’s Wishes to Wins vision board event

FLOW has announced its proud sponsorship of the Jamaica Observer All Woman’s highly anticipated Wishes to Wins vision board event, an inspiring initiative designed to empower women to dream boldly, plan strategically, and take actionable steps towards achieving their goals.

This transformative event will be held on Sunday, January 12 at the AC Hotel in Kingston, and will provide participants with the tools, guidance, and inspiration to align their personal and professional aspirations for the year ahead.

“Vision boarding is more than a creative exercise — it’s a proven method of visualising goals and staying focused on achieving them. With Flow’s commitment to innovation and connectivity, the event will also highlight how technology can support the journey from planning to execution,“ the telecommunications company said Wednesday.

“At Flow, we understand that technology is a key enabler for personal and professional growth,” said Danielle Savory, senior communications manager at Flow. “Whether it’s accessing resources, staying organised, or fostering connections, our technology helps individuals take control of their future. We are thrilled to support this event and help participants turn their dreams into actionable plans.”

Set against the backdrop of a supportive and motivating atmosphere, the vision board event will feature activities that inspire creativity, focus, and collaboration. The session will be led by consultant sociologist, media practitioner, and capacity-building expert, Georgia Crawford-Williams, who will help participants create personalised vision boards representing their dreams and goals.

She noted that “vision boarding leverages the power of visualisation, helping women keep their goals front and centre”.

In addition to mapping the future, the vision board event is a chance to connect with others, explore new possibilities, and leave inspired to embrace the future with confidence.

“Flow’s involvement ensures that technology remains at the heart of the conversation, bridging the gap between inspiration and implementation. As the event approaches, Flow invites women across Jamaica to think about their goals, reflect on their dreams, and consider how the power of connection can help them achieve the extraordinary,“ Savory said.

What you can expect

Guest speaker Georgia Crawford-Williams says one of the biggest lessons she hopes to share at the workshop is about balance.

“It’s a word we hear all the time, but what does it actually look like in real life? We get so many messages about who we should be and what our lives should look like, and sometimes we get so lost in one facet of our lives that we forget others even exist — until we’re running on empty,” she said.

“But when all is said and done, how do you go about creating the balance that feels right for you — balance that’s realistic, sustainable, and, most importantly, happy? That’s the journey I want us to take together in this session — to craft a vision of a life that feels true to who we are and where we want to go.”

Crawford-Williams “absolutely” believes vision boarding is an activity that can help women reap significant rewards — “vision boarding leverages the power of visualisation, helping women keep their goals front and centre”.

Who’s who

At the event, not only will women enjoy intentional activities and inspiring words from guest speaker Crawford-Williams, but there will also be amazing giveaways courtesy of sponsors Flow Jamaica, Jamaica Public Service, Harbour Wines and Spirits, Chas E Ramson, Scotiabank, and AC Hotel, Kingston.

10 ways vision boarding can help you

Vision boarding offers a range of benefits, both practical and psychological, to help individuals clarify their goals and maintain focus. Here are some of the key advantages:

1) Clarifies goals: Vision boards require you to think deeply about what you want in life, helping you define clear, actionable goals.

2) Inspires motivation: Seeing visual representations of your dreams can keep you motivated, especially during challenging times.

3) Boosts focus: A vision board serves as a constant reminder of your goals, helping you prioritise and avoid distractions.

4) Engages visualisation: Visualisation is a powerful tool for achieving goals. By imagining success, you mentally prepare yourself for it.

5) Reinforces positivity: Vision boards promote optimism by focusing on what you want to achieve rather than what’s lacking in your life.

6) Improves creativity: Creating a vision board encourages creativity and self-expression as you choose images, colours, and themes that reflect your aspirations.

7) Provides emotional connection: The images and words on your board can evoke emotions, reinforcing your passion and commitment to your goals.

8) Acts as a decision-making tool: It can help guide your choices by reminding you of what aligns with your vision and what doesn’t.

9) Encourages accountability: Having a visual representation of your goals can motivate you to take consistent action and track progress.

10) Celebrates growth: Over time, a vision board reflects your journey, showing how far you’ve come and what goals you’ve achieved.

SAVORY... Flow’s involvement ensures that technology remains at the heart of the conversation.
