We Inspire Women opened its 2025 celebrations on Sunday, January 12 with a golden start to its annual All-Inclusive Vision Board Brunch.
The ballroom at the Hyatt Ziva Hotel in Montego Bay was charged with excitement as gold-clad women engaged in praise and worship, as well as took in informative presentations, scrumptious fare, and of course enjoyed the vision board-creation session.
The event opened with an interactive presentation from Jamaican-born Dr Tashni-Ann Dubroy, former board chair for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) in Washington, DC, and vice-president for Howard University, who delved into complexities surrounding ascending the corporate ladder and attaining work-life congruence.
Her presentation was followed by that of Dr Claudine Lewis, cardiologist and founder of Heart Smart Centre, on ‘Matters of the Heart’ — a preventative, symptom checker and screening options session.
A discussion titled ‘Poised for Greatness’ followed, moderated by Cortia Bingham McKenzie, CEO, We Inspire Women, with panellists psychologist Carol Smythe-James, CEO Lifespan Spring Water Nayana Williams, and industrial engineer Clair-Ann Kennedy. There was also a presentation from Sitara English-Byfield dubbed ‘Surrender Your Struggle’, which was the perfect segue to the vision board workshop.
The brunch culminated with entrepreneur, lifestyle influencer, and wine & food industry professional Cecile Levee being honoured with the Gold Standard Award for her outstanding contribution to society in her respective spheres.
“This was a coming together of women to strategise for 2025 and for a rebirth in our emotional state [and our] professional and financial lives,” Bingham-McKenzie charged.
