TruSHAKE renews commitment to Caymanas Park jockeys with new two-year contract

Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) has announced the renewal of its partnership with TruSHAKE for two more years. This agreement highlights TruSHAKE’s ongoing commitment to the development of horse racing in Jamaica and its recognition of the talent and dedication of local jockeys.

In 2024, TruSHAKE made history for being one of the first corporate brands to invest not only in the sport of horse racing but in its personalities as well, by signing four of Caymanas Park’s top jockeys — Tevin Foster, Reyan Lewis, Javaneil Patterson, and champion jockey Raddesh Roman — as brand ambassadors.

TruSHAKE brought a new level of energy and visibility to Caymanas Park.

Collectively, these jockeys competed in over 1,000 races while proudly wearing the TruSHAKE colours, elevating the profile of the sport both on and off the track.

Christopher Wills, VP, Operations at SVREL, reflected on this partnership stating, “TruSHAKE’s involvement has been transformative. Their decision to partner with Caymanas Park and our jockeys demonstrated a shared vision to elevate horse racing and create a thriving ecosystem around it. This renewal is a testament to the strength of that partnership. TruSHAKE’s support will once again allow us to deliver world-class experiences to our patrons, while showcasing the skill, passion, and dedication of our jockeys as ambassadors for both Caymanas Park and TruSHAKE.”

Adding to this, Lauren Mahfood, marketing manager at TruSHAKE, remarked, “TruSHAKE is committed to the development of sports in Jamaica, and the choice to sign an athlete is made easier when the desire to succeed is evident. After partnering with our TruSHAKE jockeys for one year, their values of passion and dedication are clear. TruSHAKE is proud to re-sign our jockeys for a two-year period. We look forward to their continued success and to shaking things up at Caymanas Park.”

Champion jockey for 2024 Raddesh Roman, who was instrumental during the previous sponsorship period, shared his gratitude stating, “It is a great feeling to be the champion jockey for 2024. I want to thank all the trainers, owners, grooms, and Father God for making it possible. I am happy to renew my TruSHAKE contract and continue to be an ambassador for them. They have done a lot for me throughout my life and my jockey career, and they have brought me this far.”

This two-year partnership underscores TruSHAKE’s commitment to empowering athletes and growing the sport of horse racing in Jamaica. By fostering such collaborations, SVREL and TruSHAKE aim to continue enhancing the excitement, visibility, and professionalism of Caymanas Park.
