Clarendon man allegedly kills son in drunken rage
MAY PEN, Clarendon— A Clarendon man has been charged with the murder of his son, 34-year-old Ryan Savery, a plumber of Donald Boulevard, May Pen, in the parish.
He is 66-years-old, Desmond Savery, otherwise called ‘Desi’, also of Donald Boulevard.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 8:11 pm on Sunday, February 1, Desmond Savery, who was intoxicated, was seen along the roadway behaving boisterously, when he was accosted by his son, who took him home.
Upon reaching home, the father reportedly picked up a knife and stabbed the son in his upper body and both knees. The younger Savery was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A report was made to the police, and the father was arrested and taken into custody.
Desmond reportedly confessed to his son’s murder and was subsequently charged.
He is set to appear in court on Thursday, February 6.
