The Style Issue, March 13, 2025

International Women’s Day (IWD) — a day for the global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women — has been around for over 100 years. And, as has become the norm on The Rock, the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) commemorated the day with its IWD Brunch & Awards 2025.

Women — stylishly clad — filled the Jamaica Pegasus ballroom on March 9 to toast this year’s honorees: Lillan Limited CEO Andrea Cowan; American Friends of Jamaica Executive Director Caron Chung; communications leader, philanthropist, and Toronto Metropolitan University Chancellor Donette Chin-Loy Chang; Jamaica Stock Exchange Managing Director Dr Marlene Street-Forrest; and Bishop of Dover Right Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin.

Page 2 The Style Issue shares a few highlights.

Très Chic GK Financial Group Senior Marketing Officer Janell Myers flirted with floral. LH Photography

Clean Slate Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education and Youth Dr Kasan Troupe’s look was debatably one of her chicest — grey with a pop of hot pink. LH Photography

Eyelet To Eyelet The classy charm of the eyelet pattern, combined with the purity of white, made CG United Country Manager Winsome Gibbs’ Zara look a standout.LH Photography

Friend In Tweed, Friend Indeed! Lifestyle curator Cecile Levee was the talk of the town in Zara jacket, Alicia and Olivia trousers, and Ted Baker chapeau. LH Photography

Rust & Relaxation Attorney-at-law Jemelia Davis’s rust kaftan was an easy fave.LH Photography
