Montego Bay Metro expands bus service in St James and Hanover
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Residents in western Jamaica will have more options for transport as the Montego Bay Metro has expanded its services with two new bus routes to better serve communities in St James and Hanover with fares as low as $100.
Buses now operate from downtown Montego Bay [Embassy Place] to Green Pond, passing through Cornwall Courts, and from Lucea to Negril. The new routes are designed to make travel easier for students, workers, seniors, and persons with disabilities along the busy northern corridors.
On the Green Pond route, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities pay $50; adults pay $100. On the Lucea to Negril route, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities pay $100; adults pay $250.
