Strong support for Read Across Jamaica Day 2025
The country observed Read Across Jamaica Day on Tuesday, May 6, with students at schools across the island engaging in reading activities with many renowned individuals, among them Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness, Opposition Leader Mark Golding, Education Minister Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon, and Director General of the Island Traffic Authority Colonel Daniel Pryce.
Holness read to students at Seaward Primary and Infant School in his St Andrew West Central constituency, while Morris Dixon did duties at Constitution Hill Primary and Infant School in St Andrew and Randolph Lopez School of Hope in Kingston.
