BENGALARU, India (CMC) — West Indians Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, who play for Kolkata Knight Riders, are scheduled to arrive in Bengalaru between Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the restart of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday.

Narine and Russell, along with Rovman Powell and KKR team mentor Dwayne Bravo, had been staying in Dubai since leaving India following the suspension of the IPL on May 9.

They will have little time to settle as the defending champions KKR face a must-win game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After the game against RCB, KKR’s final league game is against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Delhi on May 25.

They need to win both fixtures to get to 15 points to have any chance of qualifying for the play-offs.

KKR’s wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, currently in Kabul, will join the West Indian contingent in Dubai and fly to India, while South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje will join the squad in Bengaluru from the Maldives.

All-rounder Moeen Ali and fast bowler Spencer Johnson are the farthest for KKR — in United Kingdom and Australia, respectively — and an update on their availability is awaited though indications are they will return.

There has been no confirmation yet on whether Quinton de Kock will return.

The IPL was suspended for one week following cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.
