UPDATE: Krispy Kreme signature donuts to be temporarily unavailable after fire
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Krispy Kreme Jamaica has confirmed that due to damaged machinery after an early morning fire at its Waterloo location on Friday, donut production locally will be affected.
“Despite the quick response, the incident did impact equipment at the Krispy Kreme location. As the Waterloo store also functions as our central doughnut production facility, there will be temporary operational effects across the Krispy Kreme network. All other menu items, including beverages and frozen treats, will remain available. We will continue to provide updates as production stabilises,” the restaurant chain said in a Friday afternoon statement.
No one was injured in the fire which occurred before the 8:00 am opening time and resulted in the temporary closure of all locations.
