Several injured after passenger bus overturns in Junction, St Mary

ST MARY, Jamaica – Several people were injured when a passenger bus overturned along the Junction main road in St Mary on Saturday.

It is reported that the bus was transporting passengers from Kingston to Annotto Bay around 9am, when while negotiating a right turn in the vicinity of the Tapeico Village, the vehicle developed mechanical problems and the driver lost control resulting in the bus overturning into a gully.

Several of the 25 occupants of the bus at the time of the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries and were assisted to the Annotto Bay Hospital by members of the Jamaica Defence Force.

St Mary police are investigating the incident.
