‘A Weekend of Hope’ set for June 21–22

‘A Weekend of Hope’ set for June 21–22

ORGANISERS of a two-day spiritual event in Jamaica’s capital city Kingston say it will be “a refreshing wave of faith, healing, and inspiration” marked by “electric worship, soul winning, dynamic speakers, and a powerful reminder that no matter the season, the hope of Jesus is always within reach”.

The event, labelled A Weekend of Hope, is set for June 21–22 and is being staged by Christine Haber Ministries International. It will feature Jamaica’s Bishop Christine Haber, known for her unique, dynamic, healing and miracle ministry; and American Apostle Dwight Buckner, author and TV personality, known for his prophetic voice across social media, his heartfelt ministry, and appearances on Lifetime TV’s Married at First Sight Season 12.

“We believe this is a moment of divine alignment. A Weekend of Hope is more than a spiritual gathering — it’s a call to repentance and restoration for our people and our city,” a news release from the organisers quotes Bishop Haber, founder of Faith in the City.

“We are honoured to host Apostle Buckner as part of this movement as his work and vision for the US aligns with what we have been doing in Jamaica. His heart for people and his prophetic voice will speak to the very soul of our nation. We’re calling everyone to come expecting healing, salvation, renewal, and, above all, the hope of Jesus,” Haber said.

Buckner, too, explained the reason for the event.

“This weekend is about reminding people that no matter where they are in life, there is still hope,” he said. “I’m excited to join Bishop Haber and the incredible team at Faith in the City to connect with people who are ready to see their faith revived and their purpose renewed.”

The experience begins on Saturday, June 21 at 4:00 pm at Waltham Park New Testament Church of God, featuring music ministry from award-winning gospel artiste Jai Kingston, AdeJoe, and Perpetual Sounds of Praise, with broadcaster Nadine Blair as worship leader.

On Sunday, June 22 at 10:30 am Bishop Haber and Apostle Buckner will deliver the morning’s message at a special service at Faith in the City, Christar Villas,.

Proceeds from the weekend will support the Generation of Hope Church Project in Atlanta, Georgia, a vision-driven initiative led by Apostle Buckner.
