God & I makes the climb

I-Octane pleased with recent album’s chart success

Reggae artiste I-Octane continues to bask in the success of his most recent album, God & I.

Having dubbed the project his most personal work to date, the entertainer says he is pleased with the project’s chart performance after it soared to the top spot on several digital streaming platforms.

“This album is a true reflection of who I am right now and so the love it’s getting worldwide shows that people are ready for music with meaning again,” the entertainer said.

Giving thanks for the support the project has so far gained, I-Octane says he is looking forward to touching even more charts as he believes this is just the beginning as far as the project’s performance is concerned.

“I give thanks for the support because really and truly this is just the start. There is so much more to come and I can’t wait to see all the success to come. I’ve said countless times that
God & I is a powerful representation of the relationship I have with the Most High. I have faced many trials in this business, but God has kept me solid spiritually, mentally, and physically, so my success is owed to the Almighty and my team.”

God & I is a 15-track project that was released in April. In the weeks after its release the album landed in the top spot on both
iTunes and Amazon Reggae charts. The project’s breakout single, Opportunist, has racked up over 3.3 million views on YouTube and is currently in full rotation on BET, MTV, and other major networks, marking a monumental return for the artiste.

According to the entertainer’s team, with features on notable platforms like On The Radar, On The Block Freestyle, and others, “I-Octane is ushering in a new era of visibility and cultural relevance.”

Next on the artiste’s marketing roll-out is a video for the second single from the project, Powerful Story. The track produced by Seanizzle is another track with a message and aligns perfectly with the artiste’s spiritual journey.

The video was directed by BlingBlang, whose work includes the visuals for Any Weather by Vybz Kartel and On Fleek by Alkaline.

According to BlingBlang, working on the song’s visuals was a gift as she was able to bring the entertainer’s vision to life.

“[It] was more than just a video shoot; it was a cinematic moment. Octane’s vision is clear and, as a director, it’s a dream to help bring that to life on screen,” she said.

All that said, the artiste is also looking to push the album and his craft even further as he gets ready to embark on his first international performance since the project’s release, with a show scheduled for June 28. More dates and stops are expected to be added in California and Africa in short order.
