Kash Promise Move looks to level up

...readies debut album I’m Him

As a young entertainer, Kash Promise Move has been making gigantic career moves. Already the 24-year-old has collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Chronic Law and Jada Kingdom, and he is getting ready to release his debut album.

Recognising that his accomplishments have already set a high standard for him, the singer says he is ready to face more challenges head-on as he targets musical heights.

“I want to be remembered for how hard I worked. I strongly believe in my talent, but without the necessary groundwork, talent alone is useless. I named the album I’m Him because I want to leave a legacy in music that is unquestionable. When people talk about Kash Promise Move in the future I want them to say he walked the walk and not just talked the talk,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

The young talent is strident he wanted to share his best with his growing fan base.

“To prove how serious I am, on any given day I can go into the studio and record at least three songs. So putting together an album was easy. Still, this project took me a year and a half. I didn’t just want to put songs out there, I wanted the work to be a reflection of the blood, sweat, and tears I put into it, and that’s exactly what it will be. I can’t wait for the public to hear it,” he said.

I’m Him has a total of 19 tracks and, according to Kash Promise Move, that was him sizing down.

He said he wanted the work to be a fair representation of him and his journey so far in music and therefore didn’t want his fans to feel robbed in any way.

“I know 19 tracks seems like a lot, but like I said earlier, recording tracks isn’t an issue for me. What I wanted to ensure was that I gave my fans my everything. I didn’t want to hold back and short-change them on quality, energy, and vibes, and all 19 songs on the album give that and more,” he said.

“Plus, there are features from some special key talents like Chronic Law and Jada Kingdom, who supported me from the get-go. And I also have Jahmiel and Silk Boss on tracks. It’s truly a quality body of work that showcases my love for my craft,” the artiste continued.

When asked why he chose to release an album in an era where the industry is largely singles-dominated, the entertainer simply stated that time waits on no one and, should his time in music be cut short, he wants something solid to be remembered by.

“If you’re doing something you’re great at, just go hard and done. Make that album! Take that leap! Time waits on no one. You can be here today and tomorrow you’re gone. Give it your best and God will do the rest,” he said.

I’m Him is set for a June 21 release.
