Tifa ready to heat up summer with latest single

I Want A Man track spotlights issue of masculinity

Grammy-accredited dancehall artiste Tifa is making a bold declaration in her latest single: I Want A Man.

Hoping to kick-start the summer with some musical heat, Tifa said after calling off a recent engagement she’s officially single again and is holding out hope love will find her again.

“I am officially single again, and hopeful that the real men will stand up and show themselves because real women are frustrated,” Tifa shared in a recent release.

But while the track speaks to her openness to love again, the entertainer says the track holds a much deeper meaning. Frustrated with the pool of men that exists on today’s dating scene, Tifa says the song is aimed at pulling emotionally stable men from the shadows.

“Honestly, for me, men in 2025 are acting more like women than men and after talking to so many females on and offline, then seeing all these stories of violence against women, I realised I had to sing about it cause it’s getting harder for women to find the real men to make them feel safe and cared for,” Tifa explained. “A lot of these men are living their soft girl era and forcing women to wear the pants and that is just not cool. No woman wants to be a mother and maid to a man that isn’t making them happy or comfortable.”

With that said, Tifa says while the track speaks to the level of role reversal that currently exists in modern society, the goal is not to “bash men”, but to get them to step into the kind of masculinity that will allow women to embrace their softer side.

The track, produced by Digital One Production, is now out on all digital platforms.

According to Richard Roache, producer of the track, he was happy to get Tifa singing on a reggae rhythm again and is even more overjoyed at the issue she chose to highlight.

“It’s reality; it’s what’s going on! Real men must also take note. Women crave love and affection; they just want it done properly,” he said.

Tifa, whose vast catalogue includes hits such as Crawny Gal, Spell It Out, and Jealous Ova, is set to celebrate her latest single with a release party in Miami, Florida, and will culminate a four-week US appearance stint before heading to Jamaica to make an appearance at Alkaline’s New Rules Festival in Trelawny Jamaica on July 5.
