WATCH: Man shot dead in Mike Town, Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was shot dead by gunmen in Mike Town near Mandeville on Wednesday night.
Residents identified him only as Ricky.
Preliminary reports are that about 10:47 pm, the man left a bar and was chased by two gunmen who opened fire, hitting him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Sources say the man was reporting to the police as part of a bail condition after he was charged in relation to a shooting incident. Police are probing whether that incident is linked to his murder.
Up to early Thursday, detectives were processing the scene.
Police have since launched a manhunt in search of two suspects.
This latest incident is the second gun attack in Manchester within 45 hours following Tuesday’s shooting of a man in Huntley district.

Statistics from the police show that up to July 5, Manchester recorded 13 murders when compared to 21 for the corresponding period last year.
