More Than A Crush

More Than A Crush

It began as a secret crush, a quiet hope held in Kean Dennis’s heart. On April 12, 2025, that hope reached maturity into forever when he married Stacy Malcolm, the woman who had unknowingly captured his affection, at the Registrar General’s Office in Spanish Town.

The seeds of their love story were planted in December 2007, when a mutual friend, Simone Thomas, revealed Kean’s secret admiration for Stacy. Despite Stacy’s initial attempts to meet him, her demanding work schedule consistently interfered. But eventually, the stars aligned, and she got her chance.

“One evening, Simone said that Kean was at her gate and I should come and meet him. I went, and he introduced himself, and then we started a conversation that lasted for hours. I thought he was handsome with bright, brown eyes, humorous and confident,” Malcolm shared with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV). “We lived in the same community, so he followed me home and we exchanged numbers. After he bade me good night, we continued to talk on the phone for hours. It was love at first sight.”

A beautiful new chapter was forged with the arrival of their daughter, Madison, in 2012. Their journey of over 10 years culminated on June 24, 2024 in a beautiful surprise when Kean proposed to Stacy while they were on vacation in Curaçao.

“After dinner, Kean led me to a beautifully decorated room — balloons everywhere, and blue rose petals spelling out ‘Will you marry me?’ on the bed,” Stacy reminisced. “Following a truly romantic speech, he got down on one knee and asked me again. Of course, I said yes!”

Their wedding, a simple yet intimate ceremony witnessed by close friends and family, perfectly encapsulated their love. Stacy wore a trumpet mermaid dress from Glamlora while Kean was adorned in black. With Kean waiting, Stacy made her entrance, escorted by her father Noel Malcolm, to Nathaniel Bassey’s See What The Lord Has Done, ready to cement their union under the guidance of Minister Wayne E A Palmer.

The festivities shifted to B&D Trawling Restaurant, where the staff handled catering. Following deeply touching toasts — notably one from Kean and her niece that resonated with emotion — Stacy and Kean shared the traditional first slice of fruitcake, courtesy of The Pastry Zone. In a moment of pure joy, the newly-weds embraced, swaying to Shania Twain’s From This Moment On, a prayer for their future.
