Sheryl Lee Ralph renews vows on 20th anniversary
‘PHILADELPHIA, United States (AFP) — Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph renewed her vows with husband, Senator Vincent Hughes, on July 30.
The renewal was part of the couple’s 20th anniversary following their 2005 marriage, according to People magazine.
Both 68, the pair re-tied the knot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
“Why shouldn’t I be a little bit of a bride again?” she told People at the 2025 Gotham TV Awards, in June.
“I’m hoping that I get to have the longest veil in that ‘Rocky Steps’ history,” Ralph had told the magazine at the time , referring to the stairs where boxing drama ‘Rocky’ was filmed.
True to her word the star had an extremely long dress on the steps this week during the renewal.
Ralph was joined by several young women in coordinating outfits holding her train while her husband met her halfway down the steps.
Jamaica Observer shared another wedding moment with Ralph in July 2024 at her son’s wedding.
