‘Lyrically evocative’
Charly Black, Dexta Daps collab for new ladies’ track, So Good
Billboard-charting artiste Charly Black has collaborated with music heavy-hitter Dexta Daps on the track So Good.
Produced by Charly Black’s own Team Unstoppable Records, the official music video — which was shot in New York — premiered on August 7, with the official audio made available on all major streaming platforms on Friday, August 8, 2025. The track was executive produced by Zojak World Wide.
“This one is a hot and sexy track for the ladies — exactly what you would expect from a collab with Charly and Dexta, as we both have dancehall anthems for the females. It’s lyrically evocative, melodic, and passion-filled, driven by a pulsating beat that evokes intimacy and desire for the opposite sex,” Charly Blacks told the
Jamaica Observer.
A first-time collaboration between the artistes, they have been friends since the early days of Dexta Daps’s career, which makes this release a “full-circle” moment.
So Good is the first single of Charly Black’s upcoming album, Good Times, which is slated for release at the end of August.
Containing 12 tracks in total, the album will aim to personify who Charly Black really is an artiste, featuring an eclectic mix of sounds that promise to please the ears of music lovers everywhere.
Described as dancehall to the core, the album will feature tracks produced by dancehall luminaries such as the great Dave Kelly — who he is working with for the first time — as well as Don Corleone.
In addition, the album will highlight the deejay’s popularity in the Latin/Reggaeton market, particularly with tracks such as Party in Colombia. As a global star, the artiste is emphasising the importance of reflecting on that, through what will be his third album, having even more global producers on board.
“There is also a track by famed Dutch music maestro DJ Chuckie, as well as hotshot dancehall producer Jiggy D and Billboard hitmaker Snowcone,” the entertainer added.
Known for tracks such as Gyal You A Party Animal, Wine and Kotch, You’re Perfect, Just Do It, and Bike Back, Charly Black is no stranger to hits both locally and internationally.
