Mortimer grieves loss of mother
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Roots reggae singer Mortimer is mourning the loss of his mother.
The singer expressed his grief in a post to his instagram on Monday.
“ I can’t put into words how I feel. There is just an emptiness. I didn’t know even get to say goodbye cuz im on tour and all the way in France. I’ve never felt so broken,” he wrote.
The comment section of his post was met with warm regards from some of his fellow entertainers including Romaine Virgo who wrote, “ I’m so sorry my brother”, and producer Omar Walker, aka Major Seven, who sent “prayers and love” to the grieving artiste.
In his instagram story on Tuesday he shared that he had been listening to his mother’s voice and rereading their messages trying to process the difficult situation.
