Florida man who married three women sentenced to two years probation
FLORIDA, United States—A Florida man who was arrested after his wife reportedly uncovered that he was also married to two other women was sentenced to two years’ probation on July 31.
According to a report by ABC news, Henry Betsy Jr pleaded guilty to a single felony count of bigamy in May.
Three women who are reportedly from three different Florida counties met Betsey, Jr on dating websites and married him at county courthouses during a two-year period.
It is understood that Betsey’s secret was uncovered by one of his wives last year.
“I just started county by county, putting in his name. And that’s when I came up with the marriage to Michele and the marriage to Brandy,” ABC news quoted Tonya Betsey saying in court. His other wives are Michele and Brandy Betsey.
In addition to the two years’ probation, Betsey is ordered by the judge to stay off social media and dating websites, and he also ordered him not to have contact with his three former wives.
