Heroy Clarke’s daughter big part of the process
ST JAMES, Jamaica — As she did in the 2020 general election, Aaliyah Clarke played a supporting role in her father Heroy Clarke’s nomination to become the Jamaica Labour Party’s candidate for St James Central on Monday. Under his watchful eye, she completed the paperwork.
“This will be my second time nominating my father running for this seat and I am very proud of my dad for knowing that he has come so far,” Aaliyah declared.
“He has sat with the people of St James Central and he has lobbied for the people of St James Central and we know that come September 3, 2025, he will again be elected,” she said confidently.
The freshly nominated candidate shared with reporters how he felt to have his daughter so involved in the process.
“Feeling very great to know that she was born in it and she has always been by my side 100 per cent,” he said.
Chairman of Montego Bay South Division and Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon was also on hand to provide support during the process that took place at St James Parish Church.
