Man to stand trial for alleged assault of policeman at Bull Bay station
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man accused of assaulting a policeman at the Bull Bay Police Station is set to go to trial after pleading not guilty to charges laid against him when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
Ramone Pinnock is charged with assaulting a police officer in the lawful execution of his duty, conducting himself in a noisy and disorderly manner, using indecent language, and resisting arrest.
Pinnock pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
The incident reportedly occurred on July 17, 2025.
“Ask the police boy, a four f******g years me a go court fah. Watch me and unu bb***t,” Pinnock reportedly hurled at the officer during the altercation.
However, Pinnock denied the allegations, stating: “A pure lie dem a tell. Dem must twist up demself — a bare lie dem a tell.”
“Him no really do nothing — the black one — but the brown one do all the assault. Him,” Brown told Parish Judge Venice Blackstock-Murray, pointing at the police constable. “Him assault [me]. Him round there so — him ago just say anything weh him do.”
Pinnock will go to trial on November 25, 2025 in the Fast Track Court.
A legal aid attorney was assigned to represent Pinnock.
His bail was also extended.
