48-hour curfew imposed in sections of St Andrew South
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the St Andrew South Division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 21 and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 23.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
EAST- An imaginary line at Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue traveling southerly to East Avenue intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.
SOUTH- An imaginary line from the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive vicinity East Avenue to Duhaney River.
WEST- An imaginary line from the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbor.
NORTH – An imaginary line from Happy Grove community drawn to Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue intersection following the divisional boundary.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force is advising that during the hours of the curfew, people within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
