WATCH: PNP’s Christopher Brown expresses confidence in youth vote
ST MARY, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for St Mary South Eastern, Christopher Brown, says youth in his constituency will choose to vote for him in the upcoming general elections.
“Since the elections have been called, dem have a whole heap a youth a walk up and down with them…all dem a give the youth dem is rum and Boom, but mi know that the youths ago tell dem, don’t come and diss we with no rum and Boom, we are going to say one Chris Brown on election day,” Brown said while speaking to supporters in the constituency.
He was joined by PNP President Mark Golding for a tour of the area during which they identified issues facing the rural constituency.
“We took the party leader from the hills…and went through… and what was clear about all those areas that we travel is that the roads were in the worst state that they have ever been in, there is no water, there is no hope for the people up there, there is no opportunity for the young people,” he said.
Brown will face Dr Norman Dunn at the polls in September.
