WATCH: Preparations underway for JLP rally in Sam Sharpe Square
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Final preparations are underway in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, ahead of the highly anticipated launch of the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) election manifesto, titled “iChoose Jamaica: The Next Chapter”.
The event, scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm, will feature a lineup of senior government officials and party representatives who are expected to outline the JLP’s vision and policy agenda should they come out on top in the September 3 general elections.
Among the key speakers are JLP Leader and current Prime Minister Andrew Holness; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr Horace Chang; Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Fayval Williams; Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett; Minister of Science, Energy & Technology, Daryl Vaz; Chair of the Manifesto Committee, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith; Campaign Committee Chairman and current Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton; and Tova Hamilton the candidate for Trelawny Northern.
