WATCH: Guy makes passionate plea ‘to ensure that St Mary is restored orange’
Former St Mary Central Member of Parliament, the People’s National Party’s Dr Morais Guy on Saturday delivered a passionate plea to supporters to ensure that the party delivers a clean sweep of the parish at the polls on September 3.
“I am working to ensure that St Mary is restored orange… orange in south east, orange in central, and orange in western St Mary,” Dr Guy said to loud cheers of approval from Comrades.
He was speaking during a PNP campaign stop in Port Maria.
Dr Guy, who had opted not to seek re-election, reaffirmed his support for the man who replaced him on the PNP ticket for St Mary Central, Omar Newell; along with the other party representatives in the parish, Omar Woodbine in St Mary Western and Christopher Brown in St Mary South Eastern.
“I want on the third of September, as we go out to vote… that we mark and put our X squarely beside the head… for Omar Woodbine, for Omar Newell and for Christopher Brown… and to make our leader, Mark Golding, the next prime minister,” Guy said as he rallied supporters.
The ruling Jamaica Labour Party won two out of the three seats in St Mary in the 2020 election, with Guy the only winning PNP candidate.
