Tokyo 2025: Jamaica fail to qualify for mixed 4x400m final
Jamaica failed to qualify for the final of the mixed 4x400m relay after finishing seventh in their heat in the first round on the opening day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, running 3:13.96 minutes.
The team of Jevaughn Powell, Dejanae Oakley, Zandrion Barnes and Leah Anderson were never in contention as the United States- 3:10.18; Great Britain- 3:10.22; and South Africa, 3:11.16; took the three automatic qualifying spots.
Jamaica had only qualified for the World Championships in 16 th place on time after failing to get an automatic spot at the World Relays held in China in March.
