Tokyo 2025: Shiann Salmon into 400m hurdles final
TOKYO, Japan — Shiann Salmon ran a season’s best 54.03 seconds to book her place in the final of the women’s 400m hurdles on Wednesday, the fifth day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist was qualifying for back-to-back global finals after she was sixth at the Olympic Games last year and lowered her season’s best from 54.21 seconds set in the first round.
Andrenette Knight failed to make progress after she was fifth in her semi-final race in 54.35 seconds, 11th best overall.
