KINGSTON, Jamaica — Andrew Beacon and Anthony Spence, who are now before the court in connection with the theft of four goats from Hayes in Clarendon, were further remanded in custody when they appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
Beacon is charged with receiving stolen property, while Spence is charged with the unauthorised possession of property.
When the matter was called up, the court was informed that a statement from the owner of the goats was outstanding.

Allegations are that on August 3, 2025, at around 3:00 am, police officers on duty in the Denham Town area observed a Toyota Fielder motor car being driven at high speed, which aroused their suspicion.
The officers reportedly pursued the vehicle, which turned into a premises said to belong to Beacon, who then allegedly attempted to close the gate. It is reported that the motor vehicle was being driven by Spence. Both men were accosted, and four goats were found in the car.
The Toyota Fielder motor vehicle allegedly used to commit the offence was released to the owner on Tuesday by presiding judge Peter Wilson at a bond of $100,000 on the condition that the owner should not alter or dispose of said vehicle until the court has reached a determination in the matter.
Wilson, in granting the request for the vehicle to be released, noted that he would need to have further discussion with the owner as to whom he loaned his motor vehicle.
The men are set to return to court on October 10, 2025.
