DTS Swim expands with new location
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Luxury swimwear brand DTS Swim celebrated the launch of its new location on Saturday at Shop 9, 18 Balmoral Avenue, with an intimate and festive gathering.
Owner of DTS Swim, Daniela Stona, officially cut the ribbon at 12:30 pm, marking a new chapter in the brand’s 10-year journey.
Speaking at the event, Stona shared that the move represents the brand’s continued growth.
“This location is a bigger space because we have more offerings. We’ll be launching new collections soon, so it’s just growth and the space represents growth for DTS Swim,” she shared.
Stona explained that what sets DTS Swim apart from other swimwear lines is its custom-made, luxury appeal, noting that many pieces are named after popular Jamaican songs, with designs like ‘Feva’ and ‘Unda Wata’ being crowd favourites.
Guests at the launch praised both the brand and the new space. Davia Findlator described the event as “beautiful and girly”, adding that the aesthetic and diversity of swimsuits make the brand a must-shop destination.
For Pia Vonique Haynes, the brand’s inclusivity stood out.
“It’s nice to see a variety of very stylish pieces available for women of all body types and shapes,” she said. “It’s also great that a local designer is able to release a collection or two every year. That kind of variety keeps us shopping locally.”
Sharing the new space with DTS Swim is Makeup by Sashawna, operated by makeup artist Sashawna Harris, whose setup is located upstairs. Harris said she was proud of Stona and thrilled by the turnout.
“I wasn’t expecting so many people, but it’s definitely a vibe,” she said.

Harris, speaking on what her brand offers her clientele, shared, “I’m able to enhance my clients’ natural beauty and hone in on their different facial structures to bring out the beauty and confidence of their inner woman.”

Harris’ brand, though different from Stona’s, is ideally set up for those looking for a one-stop shop for glam and swimwear.
Model for DTS Swim, Regina Scarlett highlighted the brand’s contribution to local fashion.

“Jamaica doesn’t really have a lot of bikini designs. We’re a tropical place, so I expected more variety but DTS Swim brings that. The pieces are custom-made and gorgeous,” she said.
Guests at the launch enjoyed Frontera Rosé wine and an assortment of appetisers, including barbecue chicken bites and very berry cheesecake, while looking through the brand’s latest pieces.
DTS Swimwear is available online at dtsswim.com, with in-store pickup options also offered at the new location.
