Track and field icon Fraser-Pryce crowned at ATHLOS event

Jamaican sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce was honoured on Friday at the inaugural ATHLOS event at Icahn Stadium in New York in celebration of her career on the track.

Fraser-Pryce, who called time on her glittering 18-year career this week, was a guest of honour at the women-only professional track and field event.

ATHLOS, in a social media post this week, described Fraser-Pryce as an icon of the sport and said it was celebrating her “lifetime of speed, excellence and legacy”.

Here Fraser-Pryce (right) is being crowned by American tennis great Serena Williams with what is described as a specially made tiara from world-famous luxury jewellers Tiffany & Company.
