48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Sandy Bay, Hanover

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Sandy Bay, Hanover.

The curfew began on Monday, October 13, at 6:00 pm and will remain in effect until Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00 pm.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

NORTH: Starting at an imaginary line at the Training Wheel Headquarters, Hell Gate, continue easterly towards the Mount Pelier Basic School.

EAST: At an imaginary line at the Mount Pelier Basic School, travelling in a southerly direction towards the Mount Pelier football field.

SOUTH: From an imaginary line at the Mount Pelier football field heading in a westerly direction to the Roots Man Shop at Hell Gate.

WEST: From the Roots Man Shop heading in a northerly direction towards Hell Gate and continuing towards the Training Wheel Headquarters.

During the hours of the curfew, individuals within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
