#EyeOnMelissa: Airports still open but some flights cancelled
ST JAMES, Jamaica — MBJ Airports Limited, which operates the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, says Caribbean Airlines flights arriving from and departing to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday have been cancelled due to the tropical storm warning now in effect for Jamaica.
The flights will also be cancelled on Saturday and Sunday.
Passengers are being urged to contact their airline for rebooking and the latest flight information.
However, the airport still remains open and operational at this time.
Meanwhile, PAC Kingston Airport Limited, the operators of the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, has confirmed that the airport also remains open at this time with officials monitoring and preparing for the storm.
In the meantime, passengers are urged to stay updated with advisories from their respective airlines and make any adjustments to their reservations before travelling to the airport.
