The Style Issue, December 4

And, just like that, Saint International star Tomiwa is back in the Balmain fold!

After jetting to the City of Lights ahead of Paris Fashion Week back in October for her runway turns at the Akris and Shiatzy Chen shows, the Nigerian model makes a welcome return to the French luxury house’s e-commerce platform, donning its latest womenswear.

Plus, Chicago Sky Nigerian-American basketballer Michaela Onyenwere is the latest celeb to participate in the Pull Up On Purpose campaign by Harlem’s Fashion Row and Foot Locker, rocking the Sammy B Denim Buckle Bralette and 3rd Ave Widest Wide Leg pant to the Players Era Women’s Championship in Las Vegas. Pull Up On Purpose encourages individuals to show up for their community, heritage, and purpose through intentional fashion choices. True Sammy B aficionados may remember the moment the denim buckle bralette went viral in 2019, after rap superstar Nicki Minaj was papped in it during her Apple Music show, Queen Radio.

Also, Trinbagonian style arbiter Peter Elias was one of three individuals conferred with honorary doctoral degrees by the University of Trinidad and Tobago at its recently held 2025 Presentation of Graduates Ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Lord Kitchener Auditorium, the main performance hall within the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Elias received the Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts.
