Sunshine Girls invited to World Netball Cup 2027

KINGSTON, Jamaica—Jamaica have been invited to compete at the Netball World Cup 2027 to be staged in Sydney, Australia, between August 25 to September 5.

The top six teams as of December 1, 2025, have been invited to the tewlve-day event, where another 10 teams to be decided after five regional qualifiers to be staged in 2026, will join them.

According to a release from World Netball on Thursday, hosts Australia, have qualified to be invited alongside New Zealand (2nd), Jamaica (3rd), England (4th), South Africa (5th) and Uganda (6th), who just edged Wales after going unbeaten throughout the Celtic Cup and defeating the Welsh Feathers 70 – 48 on the final day of the competition.

The top two teams from the five regional qualifiers will join the six invited teams.
