Herbert Morrison win four straight in ISSA under-16 basketball
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Herbert Morrison Technical’s under-16 team continue to dominate the ISSA/Rural Zone B basketball first round, beating Holland High and Muschett High on Saturday to take their record to four straight wins.
Herbert Morrison beat Holland High 86-15 in their first game before getting past Muschett High 86-7 in the second game, both matches being held at the Holland High compound. Herbert Morrison had three days prior crushed Muschett 108-2 in Montego Bay.
In the other games played on Saturday, York Castle High under-16 beat Muschett High 49-15, while Herbert Morrison’s under-19 team beat York Castle 96-22.
Tyler Linton scored a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists and Michael Johnson scored 15 points and had nine rebounds as Herbert Morrison beat Holland High, who were playing their first game in the competition, by 71 points.
Holland High were restricted to single digit scoring in all four quarters as Herbert Morrison led 20-5, 46-11 and 68-13 after the first three quarters with Antwan Wint scoring eight points and grabbing eight rebounds for the losers.
In their second game, Shemar Russell and Rafael Stephenson both scored double-doubles for Herbert Morrison as they eased past Muschett High.

Russell had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Stephenson added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Trey Turner scored a game-high 24 points.
In the other under-16 game, York Castle were 49-15 winners over Muschett High with Richard Brock just missing a triple double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and nine blocks, while Marcodean Frater scored 12 points and had seven steals.
A week after beating York Castle 109-19 in their under-19 game in Montego Bay, Herbert Morrison beat them a second time on Saturday, 96-22, with two players getting double-doubles.
Kyle Palmer had a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds and six steals, while Ryan Jurdine had 20 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists. Christopher Morrison scored 20 points.
Christian Andorn scored 14 points for York Castle and Chadrick McFarlane added eight points.
