A&E staff protest conditions at Cornwall Regional Hospital
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Staff members attached to the Accident and Emergency Department at the Cornwall Regional Hospital have staged a protest about the conditions at the facility.
Doctors and nurses armed with placards are now outside the hospital calling for improvements to working and patient conditions.
The workers are adamant that they’ve had enough of the poor conditions which includes treatment to patients among other issues at the facility.
“Better working conditions” and “50 patients to one blood pressure machine” were among the chants heard from the protesting staff members.
They are calling on the relevant authorities to address their concerns immediately.
