Media barred in ‘good samaritans’ fatal crash case
Members of the media were barred from entering the courtroom as Tor McIntosh, the university student charged with two counts of death by dangerous driving, returned to the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.
When the case was called, journalists were informed the media would not be allowed as the matter was being held in-camera.
The press has been allowed to observe the matter on previous occasions.
McIntosh is accused of causing the deaths of 37-year-old Javaughn Rodney and 50-year-old Mark Garrick.
Police say about 3:30 am, September 28, 2024, Rodney, a motor vehicle inspector of Spanish Town, St Catherine, and Garrick, of Kingston 20, had stopped along Washington Boulevard in St Andrew to render assistance to another motorist who was experiencing difficulty when they were struck and killed.
Observer Online understands that McIntosh will return to court on March 9.
