Passengers turn nine-hour British Airways flight into church service

Passengers turn nine-hour British Airways flight into church service

A nine-hour British Airways flight from London to Jamaica reportedly turned into a church session after passengers broke out into prayer and preaching.

In the video, which has now gone viral, passengers were seen singing, clapping and worshipping God.

However, according to a report from Daily Mail, the session was described as ‘rude’ and ‘inconsiderate’ by some people on social media.

“You will be on flights, and people will pray before the flight takes off, or if there’s turbulence, you might hear somebody pray, but not to that scale. I think I was just surprised that this was happening 40 thousand feet in the air. At some point, I was thinking we need to settle down, and we need to rest,” 56-year-old Maxine Munroe told the Daily Mail.

Munroe was reportedly a traveller on the flight in 2020 and later shared the videos on TikTok on January 6, which have now gone viral. According to Munroe, the singing and praying began one hour into the nine-hour flight, and lasted for approximately two and a half hours.

“I’m spiritual but….Don’t be doing this on my flight..please and thanks,” one person commented on Munroe’s video.

“That’s to much for me, that is so inconsiderate,” another said.
