Jamaica swamp Cayman 12-0 in Concacaf U17
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kelvin Brown scored four times as Jamaica clobbered Cayman Islands 12-0 in their Concacaf Group G Under-17 boys World Cup qualifying in Costa Rica on Sunday.
It was the second straight win for the young Reggae Boyz who had beaten Aruba 3-0 in their opening game on Friday and saw them overtake Canada who were scheduled to play Aruba in the second game later on Sunday.
There were also doubles for Jahmarie Nolan and Jamone Lyle as well as Tyraun Bembribge who came off the bench in the second half.
Jamaica led 5-0 at halftime with goals from Brown in the first and 44th minutes, Nolan in the 17th and 45th minutes and Lyle in the 24th minute.
Rajon McKenzie scored in the 47th minute and an own goal in the 53rd minute from William Kirksey made the score 7-0.
Lyle completed his brace in the 58th minute as Brown completed his hat trick in the 71st minute and added a fourth two minutes later.
Bembribge then scored in the 76th and 88th minutes.
Jamaica will play Canada in their final game on Wednesday.
